The month of May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month. This month is used as a celebration to recognize all of the historical and cultural contributions of individuals and groups of Asian and Pacific Islander descent to the United States. Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have contributed so much to our American culture and society, including science and medicine, literature and art, sports and recreation, and government and politics, just to name a few.
