Continuum of Resources & Education

CORE Purpose: Provide continuing education for all sea service spouses to meet the unique challenges of a military lifestyle.
Continuum of Resources and Education (CORE) is a volunteer spouse-led Naval Services FamilyLine program which offers seminars, workshops, and presentations dedicated to empowering Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard spouses, educating their families, and promoting the sea service lifestyle. CORE offers resources and education on topics which are applicable and enriching to the sea service spouse community at large. Occasionally, seminars and workshops may be customized to serve specific groups such as CO/XO/CMC/COB spouses, Command Ombudsman, CPO selectee spouses, EFMP families, etc. Content is presented both virtually and at in-person events.
CORE Leadership works in conjunction with local CORE teams to present global events, which are recorded and posted on the CORE Events Page as well as on the Naval Services FamilyLine YouTube channel. Additionally, local CORE teams develop programming which concentrates on meeting the needs and interests of spouses in their specific fleet concentration areas. Previous local events have included, but are not limited to, disaster/emergency preparedness, military spouse employment conferences, DoDEA school registration, stress management, ethics discussions, and the Supply Corps Road Show.
