US Navy Fun Fact!

On today's edition of Fun Fact Friday we are brining you a little Naval history. This one is for all of our submariner families out there!

On this day in 1954, the USS Nautilus, the first nuclear powered submarine was christened and launched in Groton. And while she may have been decommissioned in 1980, she was a pioneer in the practical use of nuclear power and paved the way for others that came after her.

You can visit the USS Nautilus in Groton, as it is now a national museum. To lean more, visit: https://ussnautilus.org/
