Command Ombudsmen

Ombudsmen are volunteers appointed by the Commanding Officer to serve as an information link between the command leadership and command families. They are trained to disseminate information and provide resource referrals. In addition to keeping the CO informed regarding the morale, health, and welfare of the command families, the Ombudsman communicates regularly with the command families through newsletters, phone trees, and an email distribution list.

The Fleet and Family Support Center provides support and up-to-date information about the Ombudsman program, Ombudsman training, and maintains the Ombudsman Registry. For the most current contact information, go to the Navy Family Ombudsman Registry webpage to locate your Command Ombudsman.
