NS FamilyLine Chairman Farewell Statement

To All Our Sea Serving Families and Volunteers,
It is with mixed emotions I write this letter as it will be my last one as Chairman for Naval Services FamilyLine. I was humbled to be given the opportunity to take over this position 18 months ago, and I leave with much pride and admiration as I have watched FamilyLine reach new heights and enter a far-reaching realm that has opened the opportunity to make a difference for the many sea serving spouses and families “virtually” anywhere our military force is stationed. Serving as the Chairman has been my complete honor and privilege. It has been and will always be a passion of mine to support our military and the many "unsung heroes" ...the spouses and families covering the home front.
I have witnessed our incredible volunteers, especially my fellow FamilyLine Board members and advisors, selflessly, and with no compensation and little recognition, make the art of the possible a reality. I am beyond amazed and grateful to have served alongside them.
I am happy to announce my successor, Mrs. Beth Weber, will be taking over the duties of Chairman effective immediately. Beth is very familiar with and is a big supporter of FamilyLine’s mission. She has been a leader, mentor, trainer, and advisor to numerous COMPASS and CORE teams, and most recently served as FamilyLine’s Naval Spouse Leadership Course Director. I am excited her enthusiasm, skills, knowledge, and leadership will continue to benefit Naval Services FamilyLine. I look forward to watching her take FamilyLine to the next level and attain even greater achievements.
Though I will be stepping down as Chairman, by no means do I plan to step away from serving FamilyLine. I look forward to supporting, advocating, and promoting all the great resources FamilyLine offers our families and spouses as my military life journey takes me back out into the fleet. Together, we will continue to make a world of difference for our sea serving families.
