National Back to School Month

Navy Child and Youth Education Services provides School Liaisons to work with local school districts to ensure school personnel are aware of the stressors facing military children due to PCS moves and deployments. They are able to provide parents with the tools they need to overcome obstacles to education that stem from the military lifestyle. Services provided but not limited to connecting commanders, educators and parents to: school transition support (PCS), deployment support, youth sponsorship, special education navigation and resources, alternative schooling options/support (private, parochial, charter and homeschool), post-secondary preparation (college & career readiness/scholar resources), and military interstate compact compliance support.
