World Teachers’ Day!

It is World Teachers' Day! THANK YOU to all teachers--we are so grateful for you!

For all of our fellow spouses that are teachers, moving can be hard on your career--having to get a new license/certification in every state you move to. As of Feb 2020, the Navy released a new policy to help with those costs related to relicensing. The following is MILPERSMAN 1754-040 which outlines what you need to do to get those fees reimbursed.

"A Service member may be reimbursed, up to $500 for PCS orders issued 12 December 2017 to 19 December 2019, or up to $1,000 for those orders issued on or after 20 December 2019, for his or her spouse’s qualifying relicensing costs when all of the conditions are met."
