Other Volunteer Opportunities
Command Spouse Leadership Course (CSLC) and Command Master Chief/Chief of Boat Spouse Leadership Course (CMCSLC) Mentors are also needed for the two Leadership Courses in Newport, Rhode Island. Visit the Leadership Courses page for more information.
COMPASS Mentors are experienced spouses who volunteer their time to pass their knowledge on to other Navy spouses. There are opportunities to become a Mentor, or even to help provide food, at all of our COMPASS locations around the world. Naval Services FamilyLine is always in need of volunteers to perform various tasks in our Washington Navy Yard office. These tasks can include packing and shipping publication orders, assembling informational portfolios, creating publicity materials, researching information and much more. Volunteer hours are documented and we will provide certificates or letters of hours served annually, or as needed. You may volunteer on your own or as a group. NSFL Social Media Volunteer Opportunity - The Naval Services FamilyLine Social Media/Web Director is putting together a team of volunteers to assist with updating one or more of the NSFL Social Media Accounts or website. Candidates must be self-motivated with great computer skills and an understanding of one or more of the following: Web Design, Google Analytics, Google Documents, Youtube, Facebook Pages, Facebook Groups, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Wix, and Trello. Graphic Design experience a plus!
Reliable internet connection.
Desktop or laptop computer.
Candidates must be willing to dedicate 3-6 hours a week.
Must have volunteered with Naval Services FamilyLine or one of its programs for at least 1 year.
